Active Matter release date: 15 September 2026
The short answer
Active Matter released in full on 15 September 2026. It launched the same day on PC (Steam and the Gaijin Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version: the console releases are current-generation only.
If you are asking because you already owned the early PC version, the answer you care about is that there was no wipe — progress and purchases carried over into the full release.

Two notes on the timeline, because our sources do not agree to the day:
- The Xbox demo start date is reported as both 4 June and 9 June 2026 by different official notices. We publish it as "June 2026" and give the closing date, which the sources agree on.
- There were two Steam demo windows, roughly six months apart — a November 2025 run and a spring 2026 run. They are listed separately rather than merged, because the carry-over promise attached to each was worded differently.
What "1.0" actually changed
The full release is not a separate game — it is the early PC build finished and shipped to consoles. What the 1.0 cycle added, per the developers' own announcements:
- Harmonization Cycles. The 1.0 cycle is the first Harmonization Cycle, introducing the Merits currency and the Monolith access-level track that runs alongside it.
- Console releases. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S arrived at the same time as the Steam launch.
- A version step. The live build at the time of this check is 0.4.0.115 (17 September 2026), following 0.4.0.93 (14 September 2026). Early-version builds sat in the 0.1.x range.

What comes after release
There is no dated content roadmap yet. The store pages commit only to publishing "a detailed roadmap outlining our plans for the future … within a couple of weeks after release", and at the time of this check that document had not appeared. We do not forecast what will be in it.
